Host a Screening, Become a partner!

The following are our various offers. One may be paired with the other.

PANEL DISCUSSION

We organize local and international experts from the broad field of midwifery, maternal health and women rights. Those experts include mothers, scientists, women/men working in maternal health and/or non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and public health experts. An intense discussion among the participants moderated by a host allows the audience a deep background insight in the world of among us women.

The Birth Cafés are tailored to each specific audience. Some are specific for midwives, while others are for mothers, fathers, and everyone else.

The Birth café Campaign and each Birth café will be a platform to encourage open and frank discussions on the state of maternal care and what can be done to better answer the needs of expectant mothers, fathers and midwives.

The Ethiopian coffee ceremony is a distinct aspect of Ethiopian culture that emphasizes the value of community and hospitality. As the film was created by discussing with the protagonists about the various topics of the films during numerous Ethiopian coffee ceremonies, we want to take this tradition to the audience and discuss the film.

Discover the unique and flavorful Arabica coffee beans, which are considered to be the best globally. Following the screening, coffee will be provided in accordance with Ethiopian coffee ceremonial custom.

HAVE A CHAT WITH ETHIOPIAN FOOD

Following the screening, savor regional flavors with a variety of Ethiopian cuisine.

International co-productions grow rapidly as the industry is expanding worldwide. But how do we navigate responsibly within this trend? Especially if we work across cultures, power dynamics rooted in race, gender and class can hinder a collaboration with equal agency. In this workshop we speak openly about the experience we had, the challenges we encountered, and how we (re-)established trust and connection.

The workshops are hosted by the director Sarah Noa Ngo Ngoc (former Bozenhardt) and/or the co-director Daniel Abate Tilahun and/or Producer Sonja Kilbertus who were closest to the procedure of international producing.
